White Horse Inn' of 1931 was the first proper musical at The London Coliseum after years of Variety. It was on a vast a scale as the Theatre itself with a cast of over 160, three bands, and a huge chorus. It cost £60,000 to put on but recouped all its costs before it had even opened and ran for 651 performances.
