A visitor to the site, Cliff Reynolds says: 'Whilst looking into our family history I was interested in seeing the 1900 poster for the Peoples Palace, Sunderland. The stage manager, John Reynolds, mentioned on the poster is my great grandfather, his daughter married Dan leno and his son Wlll managed the Royal Electric Theatre, West Hartlepool, prior to it becoming the "Lex" cinema which was owned by our family until it's subsequent demolition in the 1960s' - Cliff Reynolds.
