Royal Avenue Theatre Circa 1880s - The sole Lessee mentioned
on this programme was Edmund Burke, whose real name was Ezekiel Benjamin.
He was born in Singapore but was apparently sent to England because
he was the black sheep of the family. On arriving in England he decided
that he needed a more English name and so took the name Edmund Burke
