The St. James's Theatre and Exhibition Hall, Manchester was built in 1884 and closed in 1907. The building reopened as a Cinema in 1908 but has since been demolished. Gertie Millar had her debut at the St James's theatre in 1892 aged 13, in 'Babes in the Wood'. Arthur Lloyd is known to have performed here in 1891. |
