In its time it was also known as the Theatre of Varieties, Varieties Music Hall, Harwood's Music Hall, New Kings Theatre, Bromwich Theatre, and Mortimer's Theatre. The original auditorium held 830 - 292 in the Pit, 220 in boxes, and 328 in the Grand Circle.
